Frequently asked questions
- What's the maximum text size?
- Depends on error correction level and character type. At low correction, you can have up to around 4000 characters. At high correction, around 1800. For long texts the QR becomes visually dense and harder to read with simple cameras. For very long URLs, consider shortening first with a URL shortener service.
- What is error correction level?
- The QR's ability to keep reading even if part is damaged, dirty, or covered. Four levels: L (about 7%), M (15%), Q (25%), H (30%). The higher, the more robust but the denser the QR becomes. For digital use, low is enough. For print in industrial or dirty environments, pick high.
- Can I put my logo in the centre?
- This tool generates simple QRs without logos. For QRs with logos, you can edit them manually in an image editor afterwards, but be careful: the logo covers part of the code, and reading only continues to work thanks to error correction. Keep the logo small and centered.
